We welcomed our guest speaker Jean Barman at the May 25 dinner, and were charmed by her eloquence and knowledge of British Columbia.
Jean spoke of her prize-winning book, The West beyond the West: a History of British Columbia, that recently appeared in a third edition, and her latest book, British Columbia: Spirit of the People, which was commissioned by the provincial government in 2008.
